يوم عند السباقات
A Day at the Races
Think of all the beauty, the maquillage, the frenzied wagering as well as crowds yelling, the graceful trotting of competition: it's none of that. Some thousand camels run dozens at once in back-to-back races around a horseshoe track near 5 miles long. Owners trail their access in packed (white) SUVs from an interior track, paved for the very first time this year. While the chauffeur rates ahead in what looks from the within like rush hour in the desert, the owner clicks a push-button control that activates the camel's whip.
Oh right– they're ridden by robots.
